- Hi Danielle, Natural Factors is a Canadian company. We abide by Health Canada standards for heavy metal testing. Health Canada specifies maximum limits for each of the 4 heavy metals individually (arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury). This stringent requirement that each specific heavy metal has a maximum provides a higher level of protection for our consumers. In contrast, the US FDA has no established limits. We even go beyond strict Canadian guideline with ISURA testing for up to 800 possible contaminants, including PCBs, pesticides, non-GMO status, allergens and more. In all cases, at a minimum our products meet government testing standards, but in most cases our products test below Health Canada limits.
